House Lycanthro

"You provided worthy sport, human. Now, though, the chase is ended.
Pray for the prey."

Of all houses, the Lycanthro are perhaps closest to their inner nature. These nomadic outsiders spurn the constraints of society, preferring the comfort of the wilderness for the anguish of palace hedonism.

Like the Dagger, Lycanthro are fierce warriors; unlike the Dagger, Lycanthro ferocity does not stem from honed skill, but from animalistic instinct. They are among the most predatory dreadites, and love to lose themselves in the thrill of the hunt. Lycanthro have a keen understanding of the fiendish side of their souls, and will spend more time in communion with the animals the emulate than in civilized company. Though the house does produce strong leaders and is strongly united against outsiders, on the whole, Lycanthro are unconcerned with such things as politics, conquest or running the kingdom. Withdrawn, quiet and solemn, they certainly keep their cards close to their chests.

A house of survivors, each more than capable of making it on their own. They do not despise civilization or the society of the Dread Kingdom- they simply do not require it. As a result, Lycanthro are viewed as reclusive and taciturn by the other houses. Although there is no more truth to this than there is any other stereotype, the house as a whole displays little of the ostentation found among lines such as the Luna or Doom.

NICKNAME:   Animals

SECT:    House Lycanthro is nominally part of the Dread Kingdom, although a fair number of Rebel Lycanthro exist as well. Most Lycanthro care little for sect, although a sense of 'pack loyalty' tends do dominate the house's internal relations.

APPEARANCE:   Lycanthro's harsh lifestyle and lack of interest in fashion often make them seem rugged and wild. Couple this with the animal features common among the clan, and Lycanthro sometimes appear downright frightening. Some humans and dreadites find a certain predatory beauty in the Lycanthro, though this can lead to a dangerous misjudgment of the Lycanthro's intentions.

HOUSE POWERS:    Shape-shifting, animal control, magic item creation.

Stereotypes

House Apocalypse  Treacherous vermin. One worm of an Apocalypse tried to ensnare me in one of his plots. For all his airs of superiority, his insides looked little different from most men.
House Dagger  Jackals playing at being lions.
House Dracos  Kindred of strong spirit; we have much in common with them.
House Doom  Every pack must have leaders; every leader must serve the pack. Ours are neither worse nor better than most.
House Luna  Pointless waste.
House Oni  So much fury, so little gain.
House Yaijinden  Honest bastards. Competent bastards. Bastards none the less.

Crystal Senshi

Their virtue is pure, their vision is cloudy.
Mirth House  They are not a threat, try though they might.
Tenshi Force  Pointless waste.

The Blackmoon

Who cares? What do they have to do with us?
