In 1962, with John F. kennedy as president, the United States was in grave danger of starting a nuclear war with the Soviet Union. President Kennedy made several decisions concerning Cuba and the Soviet Union and was able to avoid a nuclear holocaust between the world's greatest nuclear superpowers of that time.
