Lower Grand River Watershed

A District representative is seated on the rural and information/education committees of the watershed assembly. Currently a 319 grant is held by this group to study the watershed and identify areas of concern. Ionia County has a pilot project proposed for a rural and lake study, which would gain information for further work to improve water quality.

Annual Tree Distribution

The District sells low-cost tree and shrub seedlings to the public for conservation plantings on their land. The distribution takes place each spring and fall, and has large quantities available for planting.

No-Till Drill Program

A No-Till Drill is a vailable through the District, which is specifically designed for planting warm season grasses. The drill is generally booked from May 1st through June, therefore plan early to reserve the equipment.
