No-Till Drill Rental Agreement
I, ____________________________, the undersigned Licensee, hereby rent from the Ionia Conservation District (Licensor), the No-Till Drill, subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. A $65.00 deposit is required, and upon inspection of the drill will be applied towards the Licensee's bill. The remaining balance will be due 30 days after the seeding. Figures will be based on actual planted acreage. The Licensee shall pay $65.00 for set-up and delivery, plus $60.00 for 10 acres or less. For plots in excess of 10 acres, there will be a $6.00 per acre additional charge. (a minimum total payment of $125.00 for 10 acres or less).
2. There will be a $25.00 fee if the drill is not vacuumed out at the time of inspection
3. I agree that a $100.00 per day penalty fee will be charged if I keep the drill beyond the agreed completion date, unless weather conditions or drill break down prohibits use. I will immediately notify the district of any known delay.
4. The Licensee shall not exceed an operating speed of five miles per hour when using the drill. Speeds over 5 mph will cause damage to the drill and result in a poorly seeded stand. When making an end row turn , the drill must be lifted, to prevent any damages to the machinery.
5. All labor, power, lubrication, and supplies necessary to operate the drill shall be furnished by the Licensee. Transportation to the landowners property and set-up calibration of the drill will be provided by the district.
6. The Licensor will furnish and instructional workshop on "How to use the Drill." However, the Licensor makes no warranty either expressed or implied as to the satisfactory operation or operability of the drill, or as to the satisfactory results form to use of the drill.
7. The Licensee shall return the drill when scheduled, or on demand by the Licensor, in as good condition as when delivered to the Licensee. Any repairs or cost of repairs that are not caused by normal wear and tear will be the responsibility of the Licensee. The Licensee shall cover, house or otherwise protect the drill from adverse weather conditions while the drill is in his or her possession. It shall be lawful for the Licensor or its agents to enter upon the premises of the Licensee at any time to inspect the drill, and to secure the return of the drill.
