The Promise Ring 30 degrees everywhere
Thirty degrees everywhere captures the promise ring's "emo"-core side found in their distorted guitar, droun out vocals and lyrical tacks echoed through davey's original voice. Soft and melodic vocals carry guitar riffs out the door sending sounds of pure emotion and comfort right through the listeners ears. Amazing heartfilled energy is found throughout every track keeping this all time fav record as one of promises best in their
pop-punk carreer. Just the feel of this record puts you into a moment of pure emotion as well as the lyrical pull of davey's voice capturing the listeners mood and changing every thought into the sounds of this record. Thirty degrees everywhere is for sure one of the promise ring's most ballad records creating some of the most inspiring guitar sounds and well as vocal melodies. Emotion as well as sensation flows through this record like no other, 30 degrees everywhere.
Twinstar Dovetailing (Jet Black Rec.)
First full length release from these Milwaukee quartet consisting of pure indie enjoyment. With a low level arangment of acoustic, distortion, piano and keyboards twinstar reveal an amazing sound. Highly inspired by bands along the lines of Hey Mercedes, Twinstar deeply control that quality sound putting melo vocals into distorted guitar lines creating their indie recordings. An amazing record recomended, not to mention the well respected label of Jet Black
recordings representing the definition of quality music. Recomended tracks: Mistakes Make the Man and Under Your Throat, deeply insure the review.
Lewis Even So (Deep Elm)
Lewisshinning with imagination, innovation and verve. Even So captures the despair and emotion hidden throughout an artists life throwing it all into one of the most brilliant records ever. Vocals that soar and guitar play that hits each mark keeps this masterpiece playing in all record players. Lewis entered deep elm on Emo Diaries: Chapter Six with an astonishing song and left an ever lasting
impression with Even So, full play with smooth and innovative lyrics to create original emotion. An amazing record that is sure to please anyones ear as well as touch anyones heart, a must have record!

The Good Life Novena on a Nocturn
Tim Kasher, what else is there to say? With the well respected and known indie gods Cursive, The Good Life turn it up another notch with songs of piano, depressed vocal melodies and heavy drum beats. The famous Kasher vocals are still there yet with even more harmonies, this record is fuckin amazing! Set out to create something larger and much more from the heart, The Good Life do just that.. and then some. Although I found some tracks to be too depressing, this
record is just too good to even try to criticize with the profound melodies, guitar play and amazing vocals its just too good! Novena on a Nocturn prove that another Cursive can be pulled off and with even more amazement!

Owen Owen
Another amazing album by the famous Mike Kinsella. How many bands has this guy been in? Each new project keeps getting better and better. Slow and quite melow harmonies match acoustic rhythms to introduce one of Kinsella's most heart touching records. Without a doubt, Owen drains every last tear within anyone. Emotional lyrics containing the reality of how sad life really gets keeps the record strongly entertaining and inspirational. Comparing
this record to his previous work in American Football, i can supportivly say unbelievable. Although this record may be difficult to find its one of Kinsella's best records, so dont pass it up if you do come across it.

No Knife Riot for Romance
As one of the most talented bands on better looking, No Knife release yet another great record. These guys are amazing, they have a sound all their own that makes you want to rock out. Although a bit of disapointment compared to their past release Fire in the City, Riot sounds much more catchy. Somewhat of a suprise from their past sound of carved vocal melodies and top line guitar riffs, which sounded sort of like a late punk album. Still
Riot for Romance has that same sound but in a trendy way if that makes sense. If youre a No Knife fan and dont already have this album, get it. Riot for Romance is no where near the sounds of Fire, so dont expect much out of this rec.
