The illinois based band Braid, released movie music consisting of unrealesed songs as well as 7 inch songs. The album is so great, each song is fired with screaming vocals and lyrical melodies, supplied by the wonderful Bob Nanna and Chris Broach. Movie Music vol. one is a seventeen song record, each song containing a piece of math/emo/indie rock at its best. All
great, all unreleased and all in one place. This is a record i wouldnt pass up for any, hit the shops and pick up your copy of movie music vol. one. Braid reaches out to you with hard vocals, soft inserts and an album that backs it all up, Movie Music Vol. one
AM/FM Getting into sinking (Polyvinyl)
Ever since i heard of AM/FM, ive had total respect behind their music. Ive seen this album many times in the used section and picking it up expecting crap. Little did i know, AM/FM has a sound that is so well.. beautiful, the quite background vocals of Micheal and Jess and the loud soft harmonys of Brian fit together so well. Getting into sinking is one of the best produced/organized reocrds i have heard in a long time, the sound
quility is amazing and each song hits you with an emotional sense of reality. AM/FM have a sound that anyone will enjoy, the lyrics and guitar will suck you right in. Meaning and great sound are just some qualities Getting into Sinking has, pick it up and youll thank me.
Brandtson Trying To Figure Each Other Out
Wow. I havnt heard an album like this since The Get Up Kid's Something To Write Home About. Trying To Figure Each Other Out is a six song Ep, that Brandtson recorded right after Fallen Star Collection which is another great release by Brandtson. Each song has a sound that is so incredible and well done. The guitar hooks provided by Matt Traxler and Myk Porter are amazing, not to
mention the vocals carried out by the two as well. No matter how many times you listen to Brandtson, you can never get enough, especially this album. These Cleveland kids have so much to express, and every song shows that, Trying To Figure Each Other Out is a must have record, go out and get yourself a copy.

Sundays Best Sons of the Second String 7''
Sunday's Best are one of my fav bands, their emotional lyrics and stunning guitar are what keep them moving. Sons of the Second String definitly show it, both songs on the 33.3 side, "winter-owned" and "first instinct is to lie" have sounds that keep you rocking. Side 45, has a great song, although listening to it 5 or more times gets tiredsome. Overall this is a great record for only three songs, though i woundnt pay more than
three bucks for it. Listen to it and you'll be suprised with Sunday's Best.
While on tour with Rainer Maria, Kyle Fischer spent three weeks recording the solo acoustic side-project, Open Ground. I love Rainer Maria and when i found out Kyle was recording yet another album, i just couldnt wait to get my hands on it. Taking over two months to release the record from polyvinyl, the wait was well worth it. Splended acoustic riffs and harmony vocals
soar throughout this entire record. With Mike Kinsella on drums, Caithlin on vocals and piano, and of course Kyle Fischer on vocals and guitar, Open Ground is a must have. Very depressing yet informal, Kyle and Caithlin give this record a touch of Rainer mixed with something new. You might have trouble locating a copy of Open Ground from your local records shop, you can puchise a copy ultra cheap via Polyvinyl Records.
