  • The first winner of the Illo Tempore Tribute was the British-born, William Kennedy Laurie Dickson.

  • At the 1891 Illo Tempore Film Awards, all the nominated film originated from the same country, United States of America, and also from the same production company, Edison Manufacturing Company.

  • William Kennedy Laurie Dickson is the only individual to be awarded The Illo Tempore Tribute, The Lifetime Achievement Award and The Best Breakthrough Award in the same year (1891). However, he did not dominate the annual awards that year.

  • There is only one individual to be nominated in all the annual categories in the same year – William Kennedy Laurie Dickson (1891). He won only Best Picture, Best Breakthrough and the International Award (United Sates of America).
