Understanding the Spiritual realm

The spiritual realm is the greater reality behind the physical universe.  God, who is Spirit, is present all throughout the universe.  He is the creator and sustainer of all things.  You cannot escape God's presence!

There are other spiritual beings, called angels, who are not on the same level as God, but they are much more powerful than human beings.  They are designated by God to be helpers of Christians.

There are also fallen angels who rebelled against God.  These are called demons, and are lead by Lucifer, the devil.  The devil wants all people to worship him, and he is the real enemy of people on earth.  People who do not obey God open themselves up to demonic oppression.  Christians also must be wary of the devil, for he is also trying to destroy us.  We overcome the devil by:

(1) the blood of Jesus; (2) our Christian testimony;  (3) not loving our lives even unto death; (4) submitting to God; (5) prayer; (6) doing the Word of God.
