Conclusion

A happy and successful life is one which is able to enjoy a close relationship with God in community with others and reflect His glory in every aspect!

Jesus said:
"I have come that they might have life to the full" (John 10:10)

This abundant life comes as we "take up our cross" and follow Jesus.  By dying to selfishness and choosing to submit to Jesus in every realm of life, He then enables us through the Holy Spirit to fulfill the mandate given to us at the beginning of creation - having good relationships with God and each other, fill the earth and subdue it - and He also gives us the assurance of going to Heaven!
