Dr. B. G. Siddharth, the Founder-Director General of B. M. Birla Science Center at Hyderabad and Jaipur. He has three decades of research and teaching experience in Theoretical Physics and Science Management at a very high level. He is noted for his ability in building scientific institutions and organizations in India and for his achievement in organizing Science Courses and International Conference Activities involving some Nobel Laureates. He is the Founder of Birla Institute of Information Technology and Birla Global InfoTech Service. He propounded a model for non-differentiable Space Time and Fluctuational Cosmology based on which over sixty publications and books were published so far. He was instrumental in the establishment and organization of the prestigious Life Time Achievement of Science Award (recipients include Noble Laureates Prof. Dr. Abdus Salam, Prof. Norman Borlaug, Sir Aaron Klug, Prof. James Watson, Prof. Ilya Prigogine. Prof. Ronald Hoffmann. Prof. Klaus Von Klitzing. Prof. Gerand 't Hooft and Prof. S. Chu). He is the elected Senior Associate of International Center of Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy, elected member of Royal Astronomical Society, Consulting Member, International Astronomical Union, Commission 46 and an Honorary Member, Societa Indologica, "Luigi Pio Tessitori", Italy. He is the only Asian on the first ever planetarium panel of the International Astronomical Union, USA, 1988 and one of the few professionals invited to contribute to UN study in this field. He was declared Man of the decade by the Indian Express. |
