Prof. Dr. P. Nagabhushan is the Chairman of Department of studies in computer science, University of Mysore, Manasagangotri, Mysore, India

 

Prof. Nagabhushan has 24 years of academic experience. He is an elected Fellow of Institution of Engineers, Visiting Professor, Tokyo Denki University, Japan and University of paris- IX, Dauphine, France. Exchange Professor, Saginaw Valley State University, Michigan, USA. He has been working as an expert for public service commission, AICTE, National Board of accreditation (AICTE), ISRO, DRDO etc. He has been invited to be in technical committees, Programming committees and organizing committees in many international and national  conferences and workshops. He has delivered invited lectures, presented invited papers and chaired sessions in several international and national conferences, seminars, symposiums and workshops. He is involved in majors projects  like Indo-French Center for promotion advanced research, Computer application to analyze trace elements inter-relationship in Serum of normal, alzheimer's and Parkinson's disorder: A relevance to diagnostic approach, Remote Sensing and Image Processing by ISRO, Govt. of India, a major UGC research project for postal automation.

 

His area of research interest lies in Pattern Recognition, Image Processing, Remote Sensing, Feature Reduction, Cluster Analysis, Multistage Classification, Exploiting the inherent parallel computational possibilities to devise parallel algorithms, Character recognition by dimensionality reduction. Fuzzy approach, Neural Network Approach, Cognition and Recognition for path planning, Postal Automation, Multilingual Document Analysis, to name  a few.
