6 Stevens Court

Backyard views

We'll spend time in the back yard gardening (or at least Linda will, while I'm running the gas grill) and enjoying ourselves. Because the house is set into the hillside, it's only one storey in front but two stories in the back. All of that siding on the upper level is relatively new and (best of all) maintenance-free. I'll have to keep the painted parts on the bottom in good shape, but the rest can just sit there.

Back of the house, on your way down the east walkway and stairs past the patio to the deck. You can't quite see it here, but the carport ends just at the front side of the chimney. There's a nifty storage space underneath it!

Some spare dirt (leftover from the excavation for the patio) went to make a ramp up to the door of the storage space, and generally raise the grade in that particular corner.

Another view of the back of the house, from right down on the deck. The French doors take you back into the rec room.  You can also see the outside of the bow window from here, and can imagine how much light it must let in to the living room since it faces south.
