Personality
Hailed as a genius, an all star athlete, and a menace to the digital world, you would hardly believe Ken held the Crest of Kindness. He is a quiet and reserved young man, usually lost in his own thoughts, but willing to help any in need. Wormmon believes that it is because of Ken's kind and reserved nature that he succomed to darkness. When Ken finally came to his senses, he was horrified at the evil he had caused and took it upon himself to destroy the things he wrought as the Kaiser. It took alot of prodding from Davis and some DNA digivolving to change his mind about joining the digidestined.
Ken's Past
One of the strangest stories in all of Digimon Adventure 02, is Ken's past. Most of his childhood memories are lost to him because of his dark spore. All we know from the anime is that he had a genius brother named Osamu who died in a car accident and caused Ken a lot of greif. When his digivice first came through the computer, Sam told Ken to not touch it and put it in a drawer. When Osamu was out however, Ken took the digivice and traveled to the digital world for the first time. Unfortunately, when he returned Sam was waiting and slapped him for taking his things without permission.
Although he loved his brother, Ken was very envious of Sam getting all the attention from his mother and father. Even to the point where he wished that Sam would just 'go away'. Unfortunately he got his wish. After his brother died, a massive amount of guilt for taking Sam away from his parents came over him, and he began to work hard to become more like his brother.
A man named Owikawa saw Ken for the first time at Sam's funeral, and later sent him an email that said that he should take out the digivice in the drawer and fufill Sam's destiny. That time however, the digivice took him to the Dark Ocean, rather than the Digital world. In that land of darkness, he dipped his digivice into the Ocean and it transformed into a black D3; the beginning of his evil reign.
In later episodes, he dreams back to the first time that he visited the digital world, to the first time he met wormmon and a mysterious boy named Ryo. He and Ryo had just defeated a terrible digimon called Milleniumon who released the dark seeds just as he was being defeated. One of them implanted into the back of Ken's neck, and he passed out. Ken's Future
Twenty five years later, he's married to Yolei and they have three kids. Ken is a detective and solves crimes with wormmon. Personally I thought the ending was total crack, so I won't say anything else on this matter.
