OFFICE LADY: Hello
BOB: Hi, I was wondering if your school made it to the highlights night of the Monash University Schools Drama Festival...
OFFICE LADY: Ummm, sorry I don't know. I'll put you on to the principal, she might know.

[Put on hold. Short wait, with crappy music]

PRINCIPAL: Hello, Shelford Anglican Girl's School, principal speaking...
(BOB'S BRAIN*: I know who you are...) [ * Yes, I actually have one]
BOB: Hi, I wanted to know if your school progressed through to the the Monash Schools Drama Festival higlights night.
PRINCIPAL: Uh, I don't know. May I ask why you are enquiring?
BOB: Well our school didn't make it in and....
PRINCIPAL: Ha! (laugh)
BOB: .....I was wondering if your school made it in...
PRINCIPAL: Who am I speaking to?
BOB: It's Bob, from Maroondah Secondary College
PRINCIPAL: Well Bob, I haven't been informed of anything. Do they ring the school?
BOB: Yeah, they should've rung today.
PRINCIPAL: What time?
BOB: Around this morning.
PRINCIPAL: Oh! (sound of disapointment)
(BOB'S BRAIN: Not so funny, is it?)
PRINCIPAL: Well, my guess is we didn't get in.
(BOB'S BRAIN: No shit!)
BOB: Well thanks anyway...
PRINCIPAL: Not a problem. Bye.
BOB: Bye.
(She hangs up)
(BOB'S BRAIN: Who's laughing now?)
(Evil laugh)
(BOB'S BRAIN: I should probably put the phone down now...)
(Bob puts down the phone)
