I suppose the idea was originally a combination of Gemma and Ashkaan's idea but recieved touch-ups along the way. The original idea was set in a futuristic museum, with three historical figures in tubes explaining to museum observers how they died. Initially the three figures were Maralyn Monroe, Elvis Presley and Cleopatra. We worked with the idea, and eventually Elvis was replaced by King Louis XVIII and a mysterious man was later added. We decided to create a parallel universe, almost a Back to the Future II like paradox where there are two worlds, in this case one where everything is normal, the other is a role reversal between the figures and observers. The only way for the figures to receive freedom is to kill the observer the exact way the figure would have died, allowing the dead observer and the alive figure to switch roles*.....
