| LEBANON ENTERPRISE 7/28/1999 LUCILLE GAMLIN HOURIGAN, 83 Lucille Gamlin Hourigan, 83, of Gravel Switch, died July 22, 1999, at her home. Hourigan was born November 8, 1915 in Christian County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Beech Fork Baptist Church. She was preceeded in death by: her husband, Samuel Tilden Hourigan on May 13, 1985; her parents, James and Margaret Jenny Cox Hays; two sons, Franklin Dee and John Lancaster Hourigan; and a brother, James Willard Gamlin. Survivors include: four sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Mary Francis Hourigan, of Lebanon, Eugene and Roberta Hourigan, George and Ruth Hourigan, all of Gravel Switch, Freddie and Brenda Hourigan of Gainesville, Florida; two sons, Larry Hourigan of Gravel Switch and Jerry Hourigan of Lebanon; nine daughters, Mrs. Robert (Juanita) Hodgen of Springfield, Mrs. Wanelle Shircliff of Fern Creek, Mrs. Gerald (Theresa) Robson of Louisville, Mrs. Margaret Payne, Mrs. Terry (Thelma) Spalding all of Lebanon, Mrs. Gale (Fayrene) Conder of Somerset, Linda Hourigan, Mrs. John W. (Loretto) Young, Mrs. Gary (Lorraine) Morgan all of Gravel Switch; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Rebecca Hourigan of Lebanon; 48 grandchildren and 81 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 24, at Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in Hourigan Cemetery. Rev. Mark Harrison and Rev. John Watts officiated. Active pallbearers were Frank Hourigan, Sterling Young, Larry Hourigan, Jr., Corey Walston, Jacob Hourigan and Cleaver Hourigan Honorary pallbearers were Ray and Margaret Smothers, Crosby and Eva Lynch, Bill Parman, Randall and Ted Carpenter and Barney and Carol Ann Bishop. Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of the arrangements. |

| LEBANON ENTERPRISE 5/22/1985 SAMUEL TILDEN HOURIGAN, 74 Samuel Tilden Hourigan, 74, of Gravel Switch, died at 9:25 am May 13 at his residence. Mr. Hourigan was a native of Marion County and a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Tilden, Sr. and Mattie Frances Powars Hourigan; one son, John Lancaster Hourigan; one brother, Cleaver Hourigan; and one sister, Martha Hourigan. Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Lucille Gamblin Hourigan; nine daughters, Mrs. Robert "Juanita" Hodgen, Mrs. Marvin "Wanelle" Shircliff, Mrs. Joe "Margaret" Payne, Mrs. Gale "Fayrene" Conder, Mrs. Teresa Shepperson, Mrs. Harold "Thelma" Gribbins, Mrs. Johnny "Loretta" Young, Mrs. Terry "Lorraine" Walston and Miss Linda Carol Hourigan: seven sons, Eugene, Bobby, Jerry, George, Larry, Dee and Freddie Hourigan; six sisters, Mrs. Charlie "Lottie" Logsdon, Mrs. Jesse "Nora" Greer, Mrs. Paul "Leana" Mills, Mrs. Dwayne "Gertrude" Baker, Mrs. Bill "Inez" Whitehouse and Mrs. John "Carol Joyce" Becker' two brothers, Jessie P. Hourigan and William R. Hourigan; 46 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 pm May 16 at Bosley Funeral Home with burial in the Hourigan section of the Haysville Cemetery. Rev. Mark Harrison officiated and was assisted by Rev. Marshall Eastman. Active pallbearers were Ray Smothers, Ed Funk, Raymond Rogers, Alford Wright, Ransdall Carpenter, Crosby Lynch, Henry B. Riley, Paul Mullins, Bruce Coyle, Roy B. Hourigan, Oatley Funk and Lloyd Bugg. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Hodgen, Thomas Shepperson, Terry Conder, David Hourigan, Mack Shircliff, Lonnie Hourigan, Frankie Hourigan, and Marty Gribbins. Bosley Funeral Home, Lebanon, was in charge of the arrangements. |
