Have you ever heard of the Hornet Spook Light? It's really a very interesting phenomenon! This mysterious glowing ball of light appears at night along a dark, desolate gravel road in southwest Missouri, along the stateline of Oklahoma. It is also known as the Joplin Spook Light, or the Tri-State Spook Light. It is car headlights? Is it someone carrying a flashlight? Is it our imagination? Keep in mind that thousands of people from all around the United States have seen this light. Is it mass hallucination? Is it a ghost? We may never find out.

Before you start out on your adventure, you MUST know that people do live out on these roads. They do have a neighborhood watch program, so they have the right to call the local authorities at anytime if there is any disturbance. Also, please keep your trash picked up! We want to keep this area clean because farm animals live all over this area and so we can continue to enjoy visting the Spook Light. If you are planning on taking a trip here, I would advise you not to ake along small children. At times the Spook Light can be very frightening, and there are very few street lights, which makes it almost impossible to see. On weekends there will be a great number of vehicles traveling up and down these roads, so be very careful. It is best to stay inside your car with all doors and windows locked, simply because of rowdy kids and sometimes even satanic cults. Play it safe, pick up your trash and keep the noise down. Have a great time!
