Simple Coverings (page three)
If I had Two
Strings crossing to teach me.
One looping concealed, from sky toward earth and then
back, as it teaches to connect between these two points,
for clearness of vision, to see lessons of strength in
support.
Another string follows the trail of the sun from east to the west in colors of sheep, of the wood and the stone. Then back in colors of sky and the rainbow; a gift from the sun, that teaches the beauty of rain. This string brings lessons of earth Mother's gifts, and lessons from the elders who are living in clouds.
Two crossing strings that once crossed, weave the pattern
of life. Patterns of laws ever present, though only chaos
seems coming to view. If I had Two eyes, I could see two crossing strings, weaving the patterns of life. Two good eyes closed, still allow me to see. Those who see nothing but a world full of chaos, have learned nothing from two simple strings crossing in beauty, or the beauty of crossing two simple strings.
