        Horse Riding

        We had a really leisured but tiring day at A. J. Riding School. It is a school for people to learn riding a horse. Although I was there for an afternoon, I can tell that I know nothing about riding now.

        A leader horse

        I didn’t really understand the instructions from the instructors, as I was amazed by the horses in front of me (There were many horses. They looked very smart and handsome. I have never been watching horses that close!). When they finished murmuring the instructions, I was allocated to a very calm horse – Billy. After that, my ordeal began. What I had to do was to follow the leader horse, wander around the ring and get bored. Suddenly, I heard someone scream “trot”. Jesus! I have never tried a jerky journey like this!

        Smelly and small helmets

        Well before we actually rode on a horse, we had to choose our helmets first. ‘Don’t smell before you put on your helmet’ is my little comment for you guys. Otherwise, you won’t have any mood to ride a horse anymore. Besides, don’t hesitate to select a suitable helmet! If you can’t get a helmet of suitable size, your head would be squeezed for a whole day.

        An enjoyable day

        I can tell from my honorable course mates that it was a wonderful trip although I heard some of them scream when they rode on the horses (most of my course mates are girls). It was relaxing for you to ride on a horse without thinking much. You don’t have to worry about rules and safety because riding in a riding school is really easy. You don’t need any horsemanship. All you have to do is to look to the front, relax and enjoy. I liked the dusk there most!

        Imagine now you are in a huge ring in Australia. There are birds, trees and a pond. You are now on a horseback. Looking at the beautiful sunset, what do you think?

           Tangalooma

           Wild Dolphin Resort

        Have you seen dolphins before? If not, you should visit Moreton Island in Tangalooma once. Here at Tangalooma, you can, not only meeting different types of dolphins, but also feeding them individually.

        Try to imagine how good your feeling is when you feed the lovely dolphins personally. I am sure this will be one of the most forgettable experiences in your life. Just to remind you, we should not touch the dolphins at all time so as to respect them. Enjoy yourself!

        Lone Pine (Koala Sanctuary)

        Lone Pine is a wonderful place for you to have a chance feeding the kangaroo and cuddling a koala.

        Cuddle koala

        Inside lone pine, there are lots of koalas in different section. And in one part you can cuddle a koala at any time of the day and have your photo taken. There is a lady who helps you and teaches you how to hold the koala. To make the koala feel comfortable, remember to put one hand on top of the other and keep still. Well, when we hold the koala, it just like holding a bear, the feeling is good if you do not afraid of animals. So, when you go there, don’t miss the chance, remember to take some beautiful photos with them.

        Kangaroo feeding

        Did you ever feed the kangaroo without any fences?

        You can try that inside lone pine, you can hand over 130 kangaroos and wallabies in our free range enclosure. You can also take some photos with kangaroo and it is free of charge.

A fabulous Friday at Movie world

On the second weekend in Brisbane, we were fortunate enough to be given a long weekend off from school. This means we have four days from Friday to Monday all to ourselves!!!

We decided we want to spend a great day at the Warner Brother’s Movie world situated in Gold coast. We were surprised to see a big nine and three quarters station sign hanging form the ceiling of the train station when we got to the right stop. Guess why? The theme of the park is Harry Potter, the one most famous book series that happens to be the class’s favorite!

The Movie magic special effects show was a place where most of us would expect what’s behind the making of Warner Brother movies…well, at least that was what I wanted to see! And boy, was I satisfied! At entrance, three volunteers were asked to invite themselves to be part of the making of movies. “Which lady thinks she can overcome heights?” was the question asked when the staff was recruiting a second person on stage. Without thinking much but just thinking I would really regret if I didn’t volunteer, I frantically waved my hand. Yes, as you might have guessed, I was invited into the show.

What I had to do was to walk with my back facing a wall with a painting showing the middle section of a high-rise building in a city like New York. I kept up with slow steps. At the end of the plane, I climbed a ladder taking two steps up, then suddenly the ladder started to fall away from the wall and for me, I was hanging from the metal bar without the ground beneath me while screaming my head off like I was asked to.  The screams were so loud themselves, I did not hear it when the instructor announced the word “cut” so she had to make effort to scream over my horrible screaming which I was trying hard to sound like I was terrified. When finally I realized the shot was taking a long time ago and all I had to do was stop, I was deeply embarrassed when I was on the ground again.

The show was played on a big screen while I was acting. It was of me walking on a high-rise building looking quite dangerous because it I leave the narrow plane, it would mean death. Then when I hang from the ladder I climbed, the scene brought the show to the climax, as the audience would think: what would happen to her at such perilous situation?

I am glad we made the choice to go to Movie world, not only the show but everything else really made my day!
