Here you will
learn HOW to use the Lessons.
Each of the three
buttons below will allow you to begin a separate lesson, with each
lesson targeting two of the strategies. (You may go to the WHAT
page to see which lessons cover which strategies!)
Each lesson consists of
these parts:
-
An Introduction
to the lesson, which provides information about which two topics
will be discussed and who you will be seeing in the video clips
for that lesson
-
Video A for
each lesson shows a parent and child involved in conversation as
they are engaged with some aspect of daily life. You'll be
asked to simply observe their communication.
-
Discussion of
what you saw take place in Video A, with tips and information
specific to the two strategies under consideration for that
lesson.
-
Video B will
show the same two participants, engaged in the same
activity. However, in this second video for each lesson,
you will see the parent effectively practicing the two
strategies that were discussed previously.
-
Last, but not least,
you'll be given a chance to Practice what you've learned
by making choices about what you think are effective
practices that you've witnessed in the second video!
At any time, you may move forward or
back within a lesson by using your "Next" and
"Back" buttons. Or, if you want to start a new
lesson, you may click on the HOW
button on the left of any page to return to this page, where
you may enter any of the three lessons by using the buttons below.
