Scranton-Hoboken Passenger Rail Service

(The Lackawanna Cutoff)

Well, this project has been a pipedream ever since the service was terminated in the 1970s.  With ever increasing traffic on the roads to New York, and urban sprawl in the Poconos, this rail service is more important than ever.  While strides are being made, the project continues to be delayed year after year.  Here are some links - and if this project is important to you, I urge you to write to your elected officials and demand that they continue to fund this project.

The Penn Jersey Rail Coalition, Inc.
