I am writing on the 2006 cyberfairwinner. The winner ofthe 2006 cyberfair was Elf school, Romania. The URL to the website is http://www.elf.pccluj.org/. There webpages were really good. Theirwebpage is very decorative and fun. They have leaves for the links andit’sfull of information I’ve never heard before. I think that this schoolcouldhave done better was put a little bit more of information abut eachlink. Ithad good info just thought it could use more.
TheHeppner Computer class is doing a project about our area. We’ve donethesecyberfairs for the past year or two. Each person has to do their own part in adding something to theproject.We then put our project on a real webstie and enter a contest. We thengetjudged by judges and other schools look at it.

WhatI thought was cool about the website was that the whole thing was akind ofChinese theme and I thought that it was pretty cool. It also asked youif youwanted it in Japanese or in English which is also pretty cool. I don’tthinkthat they could have done anything differently to this website to makeit anybetter.
Well,Ithink we are going to do some kind of theme that reflects the town of Heppner. So thekind oftheme I think we should do is a kind of country theme so that thevisitors willknow that Heppner is a country type of town.

I find that this website that Ihad went to was fairlyorganized and had good taste in the companies and places they hadchosen. Many of these pages had verygood descriptions of theircompanies and locations in places, such as Rite Aid it was a very wellbroughtout page that was done by one of the students at this school. Descriptions can very welltell how a student has taken thetime to learn and study their work.
The things that, I believe the people could of done toimprove this website is to put their phone number, area code, address,andevery other possible thing needed in a letter or business letter. Thesewebsites could of told the amount of money each business was making iftheywanted to, for collecting taxes or any other income resoures, otherthan that Ithink this site was a very good site for any person who wants to findout moreinformation about companies that exists around them. The URL for this [the CyberFair entry that I visited] website is: http://www.siec.k12.in.us/cannelton/rivertown/mur1.html and the name of the school that it is from is Cannelton Elementary from Cannelton, Indiana in the US.
What I really liked about this website was the way that they used pictures as links. Whatever that picture is of is what type of info the link contains. There are like 4 or 5 pictures. I thought that that was really neat. There were also lots of pictures of the kids and what they did to get the information that went into this web page. I don’t think that there was much that they could have done better. It was a pretty good and very interesting page.
As far as I know; what we are going to do for our entry has to do with our town’s history. We are going to put in information about our flood that we had, our county’s origination and things like that. When and how our courthouse was built; just your basic history.

What I liked about their web page is that they use a lot of different things in the page and give good information. To improve, they maybe could have included a translator. Our entry is going to be about Heppner and Morrow County and the history behind both places.

I found a school in San Diego called John Muir School. This web page’s main focus was, ‘Our Future in San Diego’. Right now in San Diego Many of the elementary school students want to be librarians and authors when they grow up. Many of the teachers at John Muir School had other jobs before they taught. The attractions in San Diego range from a well liked restaurant to popular theme parks like Sea World. The chargers football stadium and the beach are other things that catche the attention of the students at John Muir.

Pediatricians, Animal physicians, and Social security health also accompany the occupations in the Health care field. The good thing is that many of the students at John Muir are aware of what they want to do for a living and keep that their goal in their learning.
As for industry in San Diego, companies like Jack in the box have chain stores and their headquarters there. A golf company called Callaway Golf Company, makes custom made golf clubs. A company like this attracts many dedicated golfers to the San Diego area which is good. A factory called T-Systems makes industrial hoses and has one of its few stations in San Diego. There are only five of these factories in the world and that also helps attract people to San Diego.
There are three naval bases in San Diego. The base in Point Loma is mainly used for rest and as a place to restock all their equipment. The benefits of the navy are all listed on the website the school posted for the Cyberfair project. The naval base has been in San Diego for 200 years and the students at John Muir believe that it will be there for another 20 years. Their reason for believing this is that they think America will still need protecting in 20 years.
There are also three marine corps bases in San Diego. These three bases are MCRD, Camp Pendleton, and Miramar. MCRD and Camp Pendleton are bases used for the recruitment and the training of men who think they can become a marine. The base Miramar is used for the storage and repair of aircraft. The marines are actively involved in the community and the schools. The marines go to schools and tell about what it means to be a marine. The marines have also started a program called, “The Young Marines”. Many kids are involved with this program and are proud that they are.
The restaurants in San Diego have a wide range of foods. From McDonalds to the Red Sea Restaurant, there are enough options in San Diego to satisfy anyone’s taste.
