Mahaley Ann was born on April 12,
1989 at 5:30 AM. She was an eager baby and arrived before the
docters got to the hospital room. If she had been a boy, she was
going to be named Evan.
Her father Mark is a salesman in Walla Walla, for a
company called Crownpaper. He sells paper in the area, and often
travels to Walla Walla.
Her mother Janice is the secretary of the Morrow
County School District in Lexington. She sometimes substitutes at
the Heppner High School, working for the classified staff.
She has two brothers. Kyle Nathan is 18, and Jared
Calvin is 14. Kyle graduated from Heppner High School in 2005,
and is now attending college. Jared is an eigth grader at Heppner
High.
Her first personally owned pet was a puppy named
Ollie. He was half weiner, half heeler. He was tragically killed when
he was accidently ran over by a vehicle. He was almost one year
old.
She now has a dog named Sadie, a cat named Patches,
and a bunny rabbit named Black Mamba, all who live outside. Black
Mamba is expecting babies in the Spring. Mahaley had to set her
into the wild when she started chewing on the electrical wires.
Mahaley grew up in Portland, Oregon until the age of
five. She attended a Catholic school and wore a uniform.
She enjoyed kindergarten very much.
She unwillingly moved to Heppner the summer before
her first grade year. She cried for two weeks. She didn't get
along very well with the girls in her class, so she befriended Nicholas
Albert Beretta.
Mahaley has always been close with her brothers. Her
brother Kyle and her used to push their younger brother Jared down
their Portland stairs in a tub full of stuffed animals.
Mahaley's favorite food is a turkey sandwich with no
mayonnaise or mustard. She absolutely hates mayonnaise.
She enjoys playing any kind of game. Especially
board games. She just loves a hearty competition.
She participates in HHS volleyball, and she
cheerleads during the basketball season.
Her best friend is Cyde Jae Coil. They enjoy
listening to music and just having a great time.
Her favorite actors are Johnny Depp, Molly Ringwald
and Natalie Portman.
Mahaley really loves to look at the names of
fingernail polish.
She loves every kind of music, except for really
twangy country music.
Her favorite colors are green and pink!
Her favorite song is No Rain by Blind Melon.
She loves to buy bags and shoes!
Mahaley thinks it's a good idea to be involved in
leadership activities, and it will help you for the future. Her
leadership experience have helped her social skills, and how well she
talks with the elderly.
Mahaley's leadership experience so far have involved
being the ASB vice president and she is an active junior class
member. She sponsered the sophomore class by going to the HOBY
festival in 2005. She also helped feed the homeless in Portland
with her church group twice.
Mahaley is active in 4H, HHS drama, and is always
looking for new opportunies and leadership activities.
Mahaley wants to be an actress when she grows up,
and if that doesn't work out, she would like to be a journalist.
