Eastenders star Jessie Wallace and her fianc� Dave Morgan looked the picture of happiness when we snapped them out and about in Loughton, Essex, last week. Even though it�s been a tempestuous few days for the 32-year-old actress, what with reports of her wild behaviour at the National TV Awards and mounting debt problems, the pair seemed as loved-up as ever, laughing together as they left their local sunbed salon.
After topping up their matching tans, Jessie and PC Dave, 28, headed off to the supermarket for some food. Jessie isn�t taking any notice of recent criticism about her weight gain. In an interview with OK! Magazine, she said, �I�m not a model, I�m an actress, and I shouldn�t have to look this special way.�
The actress hid her curves under baggy Maharishi trousers and a bomber jacket on the shopping trip. If she did decide to lose a few pounds, she could always cut back on the booze. The move might also help her relationship with BBC bosses, who wont have been pleased by her antics at the National TV Awards last week. After supposedly hurling abuse at co-star Steve McFadden, Britain�s most popular actress was rumoured to of snogged Fame Academy teacher Kevin Adams. But there have been denials all round, with Jessie saying, �It�s absolute rubbish�, and Dave claiming, �Me, Jessie, Kevin and his fianc�e are all going out for the weekend.�
On top of dealing with the aftermath of her boozy behaviour, it seems Jessie�s spending sprees have also landed her in trouble. Bailiffs are allegedly chasing her for debts totalling �22,000, and after Dave spent half his salary on her engagement ring, friends have hinted that he�s not best placed to be bailing her out of trouble.
But fortunately the couple seem strong enough to cope with a few teething problems. After telling OK! Magazine all about their romantic engagement in New York (Dave apparently asked, �Will you do me the honour?�), Jessie revealed, �I think I�ve found my soulmate.� And she�s certainly been putting in a lot of practice for the big day � viewers will see her Eastenders character, Kat Slater, attempt to tie the knot with gangster Andy Hunter this Thursday and Friday. |
