TECHNICAL CORNER

It is a bit difficult to decide what topics to cover here and up to what depth. So I'm putting up here whatever I feel about strongly, whether they are write ups I've written, synopsis of my thesis or even interesting links and items related to my subjects. 

The subjects covered are civil engineering, environment, energy, mining, planning, hydrogeology and some sundry topics. These topics are directly related to my technical education which is as follows;

• Civil engineering from RKNEC, Nagpur 

• Masters in Environmental Planning from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. 

• Post graduate certificate course in "Participatory Management of Displacement, Resettlement and Rehabilitation" through an IGNOU-World Bank programme, part time

• PhD programme at IIT, Delhi, Centre for Energy Studies, part time with a topic "Hydrogeological Impact of Mining". My research is still undergoing with a few papers published.  

I'm also a certified energy auditor and life member of the following organisations:

• Indian Association of Air Pollution Control

• Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers

• Institute of Town Planners, India

Being a Civil Engineer, besides studying the usual curriculum, I dabbled in studying alternate building materials, learnt structural designing of sewage treatment plants through an unconventional design method and even won a couple of prizes on the way. My papers/ thesis were:

2. Hydraulic and Structural Design of a Sewage Treatment Plant, 1999 

As an environmental planner (1999-2001) we were challenged to undertake assignments continuously and each of them culminated into a compiled paper. Some of them are as follows:
