BAKURETSU HUNTERS
(Sorcerer Hunters)

On the continent of Spooner, a small number of powerful sorcerers use their powers to control the populance. Their rule is harsh, but the people have no choice but to obey. The only hope for this land is a small band of adventurers known as the Sorceror Hunters. Their mission is to eliminate any sorcerer abusing their power. In this lies a larger concern, but what is it? What is it that really plagues this land? Only Big Mama knows, but she will not reveal the secrets.

Not the greatest anime, but still rather addictive, especially if you've read the manga. And an interesting note on that subject; the TV series was running at the same time the manga was being written. The TV series got ahead of the real story line and has a totally different ending.         [Cels] [Pins] [Models] [Music] [Books] [Misc]

BASTARD!!

Several hundred years after the fall of human civilization... It was a lawless period, a time without order, only blood, flesh, bone and iron. It was also a time of sorcery. Having been terrorized by demonic creatures their entire lives, human beings were miserably inadequate and forced to subsist in a barren, Bastille environment.
Dark Schneider is the Bastard.

Good series, much more coherent and artistically consistant than the manga. Look for the numerous references to heavy metal rockers.

Paradigm City... A City of Amnesia, where forty years ago everyone lost their memory...
...But humanity continues to survive. They've learned  to operate machinery, produce electricity, and go on living from day to day. Still there's something missing in a town with no past, no history of what has come before.

Roger Smith is the hero, together with the Megadeus called the Big O, Dorothy and the butler, Norman. Definately for a more sophisticated palate, it's the best of "Batman Meets Giant Robo".  [Models]

Black Magic M-66 is the exciting futristic adventure of Sybel, a freelance video journalist who becomes involved in a dangerous military fiasco when two top-secret military android assassins, known as M-66 units, are lost. One of the deadly M-66 units escapes with the mission to eliminate Ferris, the grandaughter of it's creator. Time is running as Sybel faces the deadly M-66 android in an epic battle to save Ferris.

This is the first anime tape I ever bought... and with no idea of what I was in for. It may not be considered a classic by the Otaku masses, but I consider it a classic. It's fast paced and nicely animated.

BLUE SUBMARINE No.6     Futuristic/Adventure                Bandai  (VHS)

          incomplete                       Vol.1

In the near future, the oceans have risen, causing all the land at sea level to be flooded. With the expansion of the oceans, humanity has found a new enemy in Zorndyke. A war has erupted between the surface dwellers and the sea dwellers, and mankind is placing all of it's hopes in the new vessel Blue Submarine No.6 and her crew.

A beautifully animated series, but, so far,  lacking in character development. Plan on completing the series on DVD eventually.
