The Greyt Greyhound Feast / Demo

November 19, 1999    Sierra Vista, AZ
A medieval celebration of the most regal and royal Greyhound, featuring a traditional menu with medieval decorations, entertainment, and special treats. This event is open to all Greyhound Owners, Lovers of Greyhounds, the populous of the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus, and other
representatives of the SCA.

The menu will include:  carved round of beef with garlic, sage and herbs, turkey legs, stuffed herb chicken, roasted whole red potato, herb stuffing, harvest squash, long beans, salad greens, bread, and forest berry tort all served buffet style. Special menu arrangements can be made.

The
demo will begin at 6 PM during the social hour. Conversation, dance, mingling, and sword-play are all the order of the day. Anyone wishing to stay and join the feast is welcome. Feast gear is not necessary, but period containers are highly encouraged. The site opens at 5:45 PM. There will be a silent auction with wondrous and grand items available for the right bid. All proceeds will benefit the Greyhound Adoption League to defray medical costs for the rescued Greyhounds.

Schedule:
Social Hour: 6:00-7:00 PM 
Dinner (silverware optional): 7:00-8:00 PM
Entertainment, Silent Auction, Presentation of the Royal Greyhounds starting at 8 pm

Site: Lakeside Activity Center, Ft. Huachuca  Directions:  From the Main Gate on Fort Huachuca, take the one-way split onto Squire Ave. Proceed on Squire (it will become Winrow Street) to Lawton Ave. At Lawton, take a left. The Lakeside Activity Club (LAC) is approximately two blocks down Lawton Ave. The LAC is next to Fort Huachuca Billeting. There are signs on Winrow indicating the turn to Billeting.
