• Background: Celia was born in the city of Ifritalis, in the prosperous kingdom of Fyrepillar. She had a generally happy childhood, and when she turned 19 she took over the family business, a profitable jewelry shop. It was there that she met Rys, when he came in to get an earring. Rys, brave in the face of monsters, dragons, and demons, screamed like a banshee when his ear was pierced. Celia was surprised. At first she thought he was just another musclebound blowhard, too 'manly' to show pain. She wanted to get to know him, so she slipped a bit of paper into his mane, which had instructions for a date. Rys showed up with a bouquet of flowers.Over the next year the pair grew closer, until at last Rys proposed to her. This couldn't have come at a worse time, however, as Rys was conscripted to fight in a distant war. As Celia watched his ship pull away, she knew that she would see her beloved again...she didn't know that his ship would be attacked by a fearsome sea dragon, and that he would nearly drown. Celia waited an agonizing five years for his return, never losing hope. One day, she was told that Rys was still alive, and she immediately rushed from Ifritalis in search of him. She did find him, at the Golden Lion Inn, on his 25th birthday, and at last the two were married.
