| My first visit to Barcelona was a confusing one : there are too many interesting places but I didn't know where they are and which one the most important is. So I just spent my weekend in searching for places in random (incl. searched for the car parking!) and at the end I felt that I haven't seen anything yet. The second time was better, thankfully. I put three "themes" on my visit : Gaudi, Gaudi and Gaudi ! (he's such a genius, huh?) But as usually (just like what happened always in Paris), the time is never enough for me to explore everything. I need to come again and again and again ...:) So just wait and see for another visit to Barcelona ! |
| T i p s 1. If you only have a short time to stay in Barcelona and you don't know the city, just buy a one/two days touristic bus ticket. It'll take you to every touristic place and you can stop in whatever place of your interest. Trust me, it saves your time (and money and energy a lot, too !) 2. For an architecture lover, you'll find a great "lecture" from Barcelona's buildings, specially from Gaudi's in the north part of the city. But don't miss the Gothic types in Barri Gothic and the ones such as The Olympic Stadion, Palau Nacional, Colon,etc. 3. The most popular street for tourists (to buy souvenirs) is La Rambla. You can enjoy its atmosphere, too, since it is the place where some music and art events are held. At the end of the street you'll find the Mirador de Colon (Columbus Monument). |
