Feeding is probobly the most important other than water quality. You should feed your guppies three times a day. Once in the morning, the afternoon, and before you go to bed. You should only feed them what they can eat in several minutes. Everything that they don�t eat will pollute you tank and you will have to change the water sooner. What to feed is also important. It is good to vary their food. I use 4 different kinds of flakes and occasional live brine shrimp. The most important is to not feed them too much.
