Cho Hakkai, whose actual name was Cho Gono, is a demon/human. He was not like Goyjo, who was born 1/2 a demon, but he became a demon when he killed 1000 demons in attempts to save Kana, who was his girlfriend. She was kidnapped by the 100 eye Demon, who rapes and kills women. Gono also killed Qing Yi Se, who tried to stop him, making his 1000th kill. He was brought to the three Gods who decided to give him another chance, letting him go with Sanzo and Goku and Goyjo to the West to stop the demons.
There is something weird here. See, Hakkai killed 1000 demons and became a demon. Goku was a demon to start with. Goyjo was half blood, which meansd he is also a demon.
