Son Goku, also known as the Great Sage of Heaven, is as different as the Monkey God as you can imagine. goku's hobbies are, eating, eating, eating and eating. Sanzo saved him when he was trapped, so he does everything in his power to save sanzo. Goku is very powerful. When he takes off his Youkai Limiter, he is very fast, so fast that no one can see him. He also goes crazy and kills everything in his path. Sanzo manages to stop Goku from killing people, but he wouldn't remember a single thing about the incident from the time the headband comes off his head. When he fought Kougaiji, he had to take it off, and even then, he wasn't able to kill Kougaiji. When he fought Homura however, he wouldn't take it off. That shows that Goku thinks that Kougaiji is more powerful than Homura, even though Homura defeated Kougaiji. However, Homura has an advantage. He cannot be killed by demons, even though he was dying. So it was just not a fair match...
