GENERATION TAP ~ PRODUCTION HISTORY

Sunday, May 29th 2005
Generation Tap performed at the 2005 Tap Extravaganza presented by The New York Committee to Celebrate National Tap Dance Day. The evening took place in the Haft Auditorium at Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. Visit www.nytap.org.

July 10th, 2004
Generation Tap performs Off-Broadway in "Tap Treasures, Tap Masters" as part of the New York City Tap Festival at the New Duke Theatre located at 229 West 42nd Street. The festival included such tap legends as: Dr. Jimmy Slyde, Mike Minery, Brenda Bufalino, Jason Samuels, Germaine Goodson, Randy Skinner, Tony Waag, Roxane Butterfly, and many more. Generation Tap appeared as special guest artists in Astoria Dance Centre's "Memories: Then & Now" at the Queens Theatre in the Park in Flushing Meadow/Corona Park in New York.

February 23rd 2004
As part of Group Theatre Too's School For Young Performers Tap Residency Program in Dover High School - New Jersey, Generation Tap perform ed a special "Introduction to Tap" for the Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior students of Dover High School.

February 20th 2004
Generation Tap performed several works and pieces including, "Today", "Hand Me Downs", "Boys Will Be Boys" and "Tap Tap" at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre, NYC, NY.

December 22nd 2004
Generation Tap performed their new piece "Tap, Tap" at Group Theatre Too's holiday cabaret, "Home for the Holidays" at Pax Amicus Castle Theatre in Budd Lake, NJ.

AFTERMATH ~ PRODUCTION HISTORY

Sepetember 13th, 2006 - Long Beach High School, Long Island
Seen by the entire student body of Long Beach High School.

September 24th, 2005 - Suffolk Arts-in-Education Showcase, Long Island
"Aftermath" performed as part of the Suffolk Arts-in-Education showcase. The event included in-school programs throughout the area of Long Island and New York.

September 13th, 2005 - Renaissance Charter School, Queens, NY
Rebecca Slotnick, student activities director at the Renaissance Charter School engaged GTT's "aftermath" for the the High School and 7th-8th graders at the school. The performance took place at The Natives Theatre in Queens.

March 21st, 2005 - Hopatcong High School & Middle School, NJ
Leticia Anthes, School Social Worker and Thomas Vera, Director of Student Activities, commissions aftermath for Middle School as well as High School students education.

February 10th, 2005 - Blair Academy, NJ
David Vacharis of Blair Academy presents aftermath in Blair's state-of-the-art theatre facility. The play once again captivates and generates thought and discussion.

January 31st, 2005 - Edgemont Junior & Senior High School
Student Activities Coordinator, Peter Read of Edgemont High School, brings aftermath to Junior and Senior High students. In addition to the Q & A Period with the actors, Mr. Read organized group discussions with the student body. Sandra Hoyt joins the ensemble cast in the role of 'Robin' along with Jennifer Avila returning in the role of 'Halle'.

November 15th, 2004 - Dover High School, NJ
Linda Seeley of Tiger RAP invites GTT to return to Dover High School and present aftermath to the Freshman class. GTT member Sarah Bell and hip-hop instructor Jeff Brelvi join the cast in the roles of "Halle" and "Darren" respectively.

May 20th, 2004 - Roslyn High School, Long Island
Barbara Hochman, social worker at Roslyn High School, invited GTT to perform "aftermath" to 750 students attending Roslyn High in Roslyn Heights, Long Island. In light of the National Ban of the dietary supplement, Ephedra, referred to in "aftermath", the authors of "aftermath" made slight script revisions to heighten the impact of the play.

December 22nd, 2003 - Pax Amicus Theatre, New Jersey
"aftermath" performs as part of GTT's Christmas Cabaret "Home for the Holidays" at the Pax Amicus Castle Theatre in Budd Lake, NJ. GTT member, Jennifer Avila joined the cast stepping in for Daisy Castellucci in the role of "Halle". Proceeds from "Home for the Holidays" benefited GTT's Social Awareness Program and helped continue bringing "aftermath" into school systems throughout the Tri-State area.

December 8th, 2003 - Dover High School, New Jersey
Tiger Rap, a social service agency in New Jersey, has hired GTT to present "aftermath" for the public school students attending Dover High School in Dover, NJ. GTT will perform the play twice on Monday, December 8th in the Dover High School auditorium. The first performance is at 8am and the second at 9:30am. The "Great Neck" cast of aftermath will return in their respective roles.

November 25th, 2003 - Adelphi University, Long Island
GTT's Social Awareness Theatre performed "aftermath" at Adelphi University in Long Island. This presentation was a part of a "Leadership Convention" with over 300 students, principals, and school leaders attending the performance. GTT company members Juli Greenberg and Alex Tejero join the cast for this special presentation of aftermath.

November 13th, 2003 - Great Neck, NY
GTT's Social Awareness Theatre program performed "aftermath" at Great Neck North High School in Long Island this fall. GTT appeared before 950 students as part of the school-wide "Respect Your Body" day on November 13th. This year "Time" magazine listed Great Neck North as the 17th best High School in the Nation and as a point of interest Gold Medalist, Sarah Hughes, is currently enrolled at the Great Neck facility.
