Christopher Hoyt GTT Resident Designer ~ Artist/Member
Christopher Hoyt holds a B.A. in Theatre Design and Technology from Greensboro College, North Carolina. He has experience in Scenic, Costume and Lighting design with credits at the Williamstown Theatre Featival and MTV Wanna be a VJ. He is presently resident Scenic Designer for the Centenary Stage Company an Equity theatre in residence at Centenary College. Plus, he is a playwright and premeried his short play "Doors" in GTT's production of "Old Friends" as well as designing lights for the production. Last season Hoyt served as Lighting & Sound Designer for Pomfret, Vermont production of The Wiz directed by Michael Blevins. This season, Chris will also act as Technical Designer for GTT's Valentine's Day production of A. R. Gurney's Love Letters. Christopher is currently touring in the role of 'J.D' in GTT's highly successful Social Awareness Theatre production of "aftermath". Originally from New Jersey, Chris, began his theatre training at the noted Centenary Young Performers' Workshop in Hackettstown, NJ. He recently joined forces with a new design firm Of The Essence Interior Design.
