Greater Amulet – Originally found in the Glorioles City of the Black Caverns; hidden by Nori; supposedly can be used in conjunction with two lesser amulets to open gate to release Tharizdun from his demi-plane prison; supposedly turns any who don it insane, and the wearer will die and crumble to dust should it be removed; possibly a holy symbol for the “lost” god of the People of the Black Caverns, believed to be Tharizdun; like all three of the amulets, has several powers, including the ability to attract evil and open gates to other planes. Lesser Amulet One – Found in the Vast Swamp City of the Black Caverns; obtained in trade with Sivs inhabiting the entrance to the Vast Swamp City of the Black Caverns, for the bracelet reputed to be key for releasing Acererak from his tomb; in possession of party currently. Lesser Amulet Two – it’s unknown where this amulet was found; currently in the possession of Kasera according to Ashila Cubic Gate – Found in one of the Cities of the Black Caverns; command words required for it’s use are currently unknown; one side believed to be associated with the Astral Plane, all others unknown; currently in the possession of the group. Mystic Bracelet – Found in the ancient temple of Tharizdun in the Vast Swamp; believed to be the key to the tomb of the demilich Acererak; currently in the possession of the Siv tribe that inhabits the entrance to the Vast Swamp City of the Black Caverns. Beast Amulet – Used my Maj to control the bredthrall beast used in the killing of the Menowood druids; used to heal Maj on several occasions; other abilities or qualities are unknown. Books from the Crystal Cities – Recovered from the Glorioles and Vast Swamp Cities of the Black Caverns; mostly un-translated with the exception of an apparent journal from which the location of the six known Cities of the Black Caverns was obtained, and a book on divination describing many strange methods of divination as well as several “prophecies” including one pertaining to the return of the People of the Black Caverns. Maj’s Scimitar – The group has seen Maj induce several different magical effects from this blade, including Blade Barrier and Finger of Death; additional as yet unknown effect used to kill the werewolf outside of Malwander, described as black energy swirling around the blade as if made of smoke. Black Bowl – The group retrieved this item from the Hestmark Highlands City of the Black Caverns; improves all divination spells cast over it; able to scry the Cities of the Black Caverns to a limited extent. Rod of Light - The group retrieved this item from the Hestmark Highlands City of the Black Caverns; illuminates a 20-foot radius when a command word is spoken, and stays lit until command word is spoken a second time. Cube of Guarding - The group retrieved this item from the Hestmark Highlands City of the Black Caverns; attaches itself to an object when the command word is spoken; if the object it is attached to is touched or disturbed in any way, a loud piercing alarm emits from the stone cube; speaking the command word a second time disables the alarm, allowing it to be used over and over again. ^ back to top ^ |
