Week One Week Two Week Three Week Four Week Five This is the final week of reading and working in Esperanza Rising. You may want to extend the unit by one week just to allow the students to put the finishing touches on their group projects and individual essays. That being said, here are the final week's assignments:   READING Week Five Las Uvas-Author's Note (234-262) M 234-247 T 247-253 W 255-262 TH None F None     VOCABULARY Words List Tuesday: Define and place into sentences words 81-90 Thursday: Define and place into sentences words 91-100 Friday: Vocabulary Quiz located here   JOURNALS Journal topics for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are all located here   GRAMMAR Assignments should be given out on Tuesday (Due Thursday) and Thursday (Due Tuesday) Tuesday: Assignment located here Thursday: None   WEEKLY QUESTIONS Assignments should be given out on Monday with the assignment due date being the following Friday Week Five Assignment located here   WEEKLY QUIZ Immediately following the collection of the Weekly Questions on Friday, the Weekly Quiz should be administered. Week Five Quiz located here     WRITING Assignments should be given out on Monday, with a minimum of three twenty-minutes writers' workshops conducted in class (preferably more) before turning the assignment in. For advanced classes, one week may be sufficient, but most classes should take at least two weeks for each writing assignment. Essays prompts can be found here.   PROJECTS Inform the students that projects will be due at the end of this week. Encourage the students to get together outside of class if they have not already done so. Projects can be found here.
