By the beginning of the third week, students should not
only be familiar with the novel and some of the characters
within that novel, but also the procedures and assignments
that go along with each week. That being said, here are the
third week's assignments:

VOCABULARY
Tuesday: Define and place into sentences words 41-50
Thursday: Define and place into sentences words 51-60
Friday: Vocabulary Quiz located here
JOURNALS
Journal topics for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are all located here
GRAMMAR
Assignments should be given out on Tuesday (Due Thursday) and Thursday (Due Tuesday)

WEEKLY QUESTIONS
Assignments should be given out on Monday with the assignment due date being the following Friday

WEEKLY QUIZ
Immediately following the collection of the Weekly Questions on Friday, the Weekly Quiz should be administered.

WRITING
Assignments should be given out on Monday, with a minimum of three twenty-minutes writers' workshops conducted in class (preferably more) before turning the assignment in. For advanced classes, one week may be sufficient, but most classes should take at least two weeks for each writing assignment. Essays prompts can be found here.
PROJECTS
At the beginning of the week, place students into groups and assign projects. Although you may arbitrarily place the students, you may want to survey the students by asking them to place their name on a piece of paper along with their top two choices as to which project they would like to work on.
