Let Freedom Ring
To understand and appreciate the privilege of freedom, we must learn, exchange ideas and consider them in context. At the same time we must do more than pay lip service to ideals. Freedom rings like the tinkling of the tiniest bell or the massive "gongs" sounding from a bell tower. We, the people hold those bells in our hands; let us learn to make them ring for the sake of the nation.

The Bill of Rights, above, comprises the most well known Amendments to the United States Constitution, and were added mere months after it was ratified. Most of us are familiar with the words of the very first of these Amendments. Yet, it is often the most misquoted of all the Amendments. It is incumbent on all of us to read this Amendment with careful attention to the words James Madison and his colleagues wrote.
