Palestinian Playground
Funds raised for this project were used to pave the yard of the school in Al Jania.  Al Jania is palestinian village of about 1000 persons, 370 of which are children, located to the west of Ramallah.
Although not the typical playground one might expect outside a school, it is certainly appreciated.  The children now have an area to line up on in the morning as well as a flat area to play soccer.
The dirt mound created by the leveling of the area has been used to form a large mound.  The mound is used as a stage with the pavement serving as seating for school wide gatherings.
Goals for soccer are being donated by a school in another area.  The school is currently building new bathroom facilities for its crowded student body and would next like to raise funds to purchase its first computers.
