People searching online for christmas music sometimes
use or mis-type terms that are a bit obscure, like
“xmas songs”, or “xmas christmas”, or “xmas music”,
or “christmas musi”, or “christmas musik”, or even
“christmas songs com”, but this song,
“O Thou Joyous Day”,
is so unknown to most people that it doesn’t even
appear in the search engine’s list of obscure keywords!
We find that surprising because “O Thou Joyous Day”
is really FUN to sing!
The bright easy-to-sing melody has a nice “bounce” to it
and there are not a lot of words, so it should be
definitely included in any list of christmas songs
for kids, at least.
