When we talk about Traditional Karate, we refer to the preservation of traditional Japanese Budo in Karate.
In Colombia, there are many organizations dedicated to the popularization, promotion, and teaching of Traditional Karate, such as San Ten Ryu Colombia, the Colombian Institute of Traditional Karate-Do (ICKT), the Shotokan Ryu Kase Ha Colombia Association (ASRKH), the Colombian Traditional Karate-Do (KTC), among others; the objective of all of them is the same, the preservation of the spirit of Traditional Japanese Budō in the teaching of Karate-Do, providing a purely martial approach to the sport of Karate-Do.

TRADITIONAL KARATE COMPETITION
The competition of Traditional Karate is based on the following modalities or categories:
- Individual Kata Female and Male
- Female and Male Synchronized Kata (3 or 4 People) Bunkai (Application of the Kata in the Final)
- Enbu Mixed Team (Woman - Man) and Enbu Man - Man TeamFemale and Male
- Fuku Go (Kitei Kata and Kumite)
- Kumite Kogo (Female)
- Individual Kumite FemaleIndividual Kumite Male
- Male Team Kumite (3 People and 2 Substitutes)
