I am giving up alcohol forever
And moving on to harder drugs

Here is a small glimpse into the inner workings of my mind:

The Sports Section

If I never see another story on Maurice Clarett it will be too soon.

Updated NBA preview...Put Miami in the Eastern Conference playoffs ahead of Washington. If you look at the talent and versatility of their best 5 (Dwyane Wade, Eddie Jones, Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, Brian Grant), it isn't too hard to see a poor man's Dallas.

If the Astros miss the playoff's, I am going to put the blame squarely on the shoulders of Pirate's GM Kevin Littlefield. The day after the Astros and Pirates completed their season series, the Pirates trade Kenny Lofton and Aramis Ramirez to the Cubs. At that point, the Pirates still had 11 games remaining with the Cardinals and 7 games remaining with the Cubs. To make matters worse, the Astros still had to play the improved Cubs 10 more times. It only gets worse. In late August, the Pirates traded their best player, Brian Giles, to the Padres, a team that the Cubs had completed their season series with and a team that the Astros had 6 games remaining with. To top it off, the Cubs got to play the Giles-less Pirates seven more times. I think Bud Selig needs to investigate this injustice immediately.

Fantasy Football mania has taken over my friends and I. Another sign that we went to Rice for a reason.

The Jeff Chronicles
Jeff has the new nickname of DV. Rob has the nickname of HR. Email them and ask them why.

Someone pointed out how much Jeff looks like Kramer first thing in the morning. Now if you have ever seen Jeff first thing in the morning and judging from who I think my readership is, a scary percentage of you have) you can't deny the resemblance. Personally, I think Jeff resembles some weird Mexican version of the love child of Kramer and Dave from
Paradise Island. And I don't think I even mean that as an insult.

Jeff invited me to be his date to the wedding of a girl that he works with.  One question though. What do you wear when you are invited to escort a friend ot the wedding of a girl that I don't know? Do I have to buy a new dress,or can I recycle one of my old formals?

I am looking forward to the wedding though. Basically the idea is to go hit
          Kramer or Dave??
on all of the drunk single girls or prowl for girls who are frustrated with their commitment-phobe boyfriends. Well that should be the idea. More likely, I will watch Jeff go hit on vulnerable women as I struggle mightily with my conscious and my nerve. When I finally get up the nerve to go be charming, some girl will sober up, slap Jeff, and we'll leave in a hurry. Where we'll proceed to follow Kori and Rita around, get frustrated, and go find some late night Mexican food.

All of that will be fine if Jeff can keep his shirt on in public, something he couldn't manage to do this past weekend.

Ok, Jeff, hurry up and right a guest column burying me or I will start to feel guilty about all of this.

Miscellaneous
I can tell Subway's ad campaign is working. I went in there for lunch yesterday, and all thirteen of us in the store could stand to lose some weight.
Why do any of us enter into relationships, ever? Have you ever been in one that hasn't ended. How many people do you know who have been in one? I'm still a proponent of commune living. I'm kidding...I think.
