A small Colin Binnie locomotive running into the station on Weyford & Grange End. This little geared locomotive proved very reliable and smooth in operation, hauling four or five Ffestiniog bug-boxes.

This general view of Weyford shows the upper end of the yard and the station including the signalbox. The locomotive on the right is a Peter Angus sentinel, and the train on the left is the GHLR's own stock, with Sgt. Murphy providing power.

The first train of the 2004 season., and the first train to be hauled by a battery-electric since July/August. Note the new building on the right - actually not as tall as the coaches due to the ground level platform. Trains started at 12:20, and carried on until 5pm.

Later in the day, trains had one less coach due to mismatching coupling heights. This picture shows the rain-slashed path. Since re-building the loop, the station is now re-sited to the loop.

A freight charter in the afternoon saw Unicorn, (now renamed to Mogen le Fay), take an open wagon along the Edmund Hill branch line. It is seen here with its vehicle during the charter. Quarry Pit summit can be seen in the immediate foreground, as well as the post for the Up starter from Quarry Pit loop.

A shot leter in the afternoon of Unicorn in Slag Heap Sidings. Coach 104 can be seen on the sidings in the background. The line now curves to the right at the end of the loop to take the line to Tanyard East. The differences in coach paint shade is noted, even though the same paint has been used (Coach 103, and subsequently 106 were given a light undercoat first).

Tag Gorton's Accucraft Caradoc "Les Grant" hauls the full rake of GHLR stock as of April. There is now an extra IP coach in the fleet, (See News Page), and others have been modified/repaired/finished. Ads can ben seen, the Cheddar line is not scenic, and is starting to show stress/subsidence after three years of operation.

Another of Tag Gorton's locos - this time a Cheddar Reisa, suitably cosmetically modified to make iot look more realistic. Tag Gorton is a fantastic modeller, makes folks like me look plain!

Sgt. Murphy on one of two steamings over the weekend. All the stock taken can be seen, one of the wagons holding the meths filler bottle used to top the tank up on the loco. This loco would not take much more weight than this - it can just cope with two Cheddar coaches.

Two IP Engineering Janes wererunning together at one point, though I don't know the name of the chap who owns the second (though he lives in North/South Petherton). Sir Tor can be seen on the left with the GHLR stock, and the other on the right with its own.

Another Colin Binnie contraption, this time based on the Whimshire cartoon articles from Garden Rail magazine. Battery powered, it whizzed round at a rate of knots, and I was very lucky to catch this!
