The Glastonbury Heights Light Railway does not have a large amount of rolling stock, and some is still either in the pipeline or being built.
However in the rolling stock that already exists there will be found quite a variety.
Coach No. 101.
This is an IP engineering 2-compartment with guards compartment. This has only one passenger compartment, though I have changed the parcels compartment into passenger carrying. The guards comparment can also carry passengers during peak times. As with all current 1st generation GHLR coaches, it is painted maroon with yellow lining, and dark green lettering.

Coach No. 102.
This is based on a Mamod chassis, with a homemade body. It has an unusual seating arrangement, where there is only one door onto the coach, low sides, with the seats in an almost ring round the outside. this was done to maximise the capacity of the coach. It is used on summer shuttles between Quary Pit and Edmund Hill, and is also used during school holidays, as it can accomodate a guard.

Coach No. 103 (a).
This coach started out as an IP Engineering kit, similar to 101, but not a guards coach. It originally had a removeable roof, and was also furnished with carpet, painted walls, etc.It lost favour to the railway when the wheels kept falling out due to the position of the footbars (not a kit fault, as I had tried to build this coach within a week for an exhibition). After four months service, it was taken out of commission and used as the ticket office for the railway at Slag Heap Sidings.

Coaches No. 103 (b) and 106.
These coaches also started out as IP Engineering kits, similar to 101, but not a guards coach. They were given a light undercoat before painting, hence the lighter paint shade. 103 is furnished, 106 not. Both are in regular service with 101, and the rake of three make up the
Chalice Express, the premier train on the GHLR.

Coach No. 104.
This coach is an NDR Carriage Works model of the Ffestiniog Type 2 Quarrymans' vehicle introduced in the late 1870's. The model uses IP wheels/axleboxes and couplings. It has since been painted into GHLR colours, and been naturally weathered and varnished.  This vehicle is used throughout hte year, as it shelters from the rain in winter, but its lack of doors allow fresh air in during summer

Coach No. 105.
This coach is the first fully scratch-built vehicle on the GHLR. It is an open, two-compartmentwheelchair coach, built out of bits of brass, card, and paper fasteners. It has recently been re-built after an accident left it requiring a new sectionof chassis to be mae, and new floors and seats. It was also given new biffer beams, and the chassis was strngthened with a brass plate. This vehcle was outshopped again in October 2004.

Coach No. 107.
This coach is the first bogie vehicle to be put into service on the GHLR. It is an IP Engineering 4-compartment coach, with lighting added for effect. AS with all vehicles on the GHLR, the axleboxes are packed with pork dripping from the grill in the kitchen. Entering service as part of the
Chalice Express set.
