| I found in a dictionary that race stands for a group of people with similar characteristic. So, if we find similarities in caracteristics off the borders of a country it means that the race goes beyond a nation and a citisenship. Then, how do we rate a group of people, if there's not a borderline of characteristics? By skin colour, or living area, or more, climate zone, or even, by the look, by the amount of money they own? Is it enough to be black or white coloured skin, to make you superior or inferior? Does the area were you live or come from, climate, your look, makes of you an intelligent or stupid? A man can be stupid or intelligent, no matter the skin colour he has. But the race, I think, is used by people that need to make a difference between themselves and other people, in order to overdo the inferiority, or the fear of a forthcoming inferiority they're not or they will not be able to manage, in front of a group of people they classify in some manner, or find them already classified. At the same time it helps them be part of a contest(racism), being no longer alone, sharing the feeling with others. But if the skin colour makes a race, how can it be that simply a colour is more intelligent than an other? We know for sure there are good and bad, stupid and intelligent, pretty and ugly, hardworking and lazy, peacefull and violent, more or less creative? It does not deppends by race, skin, area, climate, look. Do you really think that any group of men can be superior in intelligence? Do you really think it? Well, I think that some differences between people exists, and it s in the lucky and less lucky, oppressor and oppressed, colonialists and colonialised, rich and poor, thieves and victims, and so on. It's too often that many people use it as a measure unit to classify other people by race, as if it makes a difference in cultural and moral issues!! But in some manner it would mean, too, that everyone is inferior to someone else, just by race!!? Nothing more stupid and ridiculous. |
