| I think that none of the arts is safe of business worm. So, most of them is done. I'd save only 20% of any of arts. The business now, manipulates even charts, box offices, pushing more through market demands, than social values. My opinion is that there's a lot of diabolic influence, seeing flourishing of stupidity, banality, horror, immorality, absurdity, surreal and mystic themes, abstractionism and violent crime pieces, offered as masterpieces, or bestsellers, or nr. 1s. Most of readers, before buying a book, go read the reviews in big papers. And the deal's done. The same saying for movies, smashing records of money thrown in producing, ads, trailers seeking to have moneys in piles back of any cost, in spite of the artistic values and feelings. So we have a new generation used to appreciate everything is squallid, mystic, techno, short time lasting, stupid and apparishent, without deep feelings and compasion. All of this is held in hostage by the "critics" and journalism, that takes, elaborates and enriches a news with market values, local sentiments, political opinions and even race colours. I consider that the bad influence like "Lord of the rings", "Harry Potter", "Terminator", Robocop", "Matrix", all Shwarzy and Sly movies, all horror gender, mystic and paranormal movies like"Sixth sense", hard core and a big portion of western movies library or some Picaso, cubism, Steven King, Tom Clancy, or Big Brother, Real tv, soap, italian tv(not only), reality shows, gossip tv shows and papers and so many things that our life is arounded and gripped of, make our quality of life and relationship between us worsened, making us less compassional for one eachother. So, I say the art, especially movie, tv and papers are destroying the human nature and the way the things should go. I think the anglo-saxon art has influenced and is still doing it on the other cultures and way of living, as consecuence. Ok, it's clear that it takes only 7-10 years of difference to make the generations be almost totally different. But, to the people like me, with the russian and french literature influence, that of anglo-saxon is really, really boring and stupid, too absurd. This is my opinion. |
