Sheffield United today paraded striker Rob Hulse as their
newest recruit, as Neil Warnock completed his premiership
strike-force.

Hulse, who has been signed from Yorkshire rivals Leeds United,
cost United an initial 2.1m but that figure could rise to 3m
should, as it is reported, United remain in the Premiership for the
next two seasons.

Hulse's career began at Crewe Alexandra in 1999 before
completeing a 750,000 to West Brom in 2003. He helped the Baggies gain promotion to the top-flight but it was downhill from there. Hulse rarely featured at the Hawthorns and when he did he was strangely used as a full back and right winger, before the 26-year old hit rock-bottom in May 2005 as a loan move to Leeds was made permenent.

Hulse today signed a 3-year deal at Bramall Lane though, and feels he has a point to prove:
"A lot of water has gone under the bridge since my time at Albion. I had injuries and a few other things went on, but I got the chance to go to Leeds and play regular football, and now I've a chance to prove myself again."

"After what happened in the play-off final, I never thought I'd get this opportunity and I was bitterly disappointed. It was a hard day. But I can look back now and smile. We'd had a good season and come a hell of a long way from when I first arrived."

"Now I've been given this chance I have to take it with both hands because I've always wanted to prove myself at the highest level. I've an opportunity in a team full of talented lads who also want to prove themselves at this level, so I feel I'm at a good place."

"I feel it is the right decision to take my chance in the Premier League"
, Hulse concluded.
