| Chinese international Li Tie finally arrived in Sheffield this week to complete his transfer to Bramall Lane. The 28-year-old has endured a tough two-and-a-half years out of the game with a succession of injuries but says he is now nearing full fitness and is ready for the challenge. "I've still a small problem with my ankle, but it is improving. It's almost back to full strength and I am close to being fully fit. So, I have to thank the manager and the club for what they have done for me." Li said. He continued: "Now that I am here, I've a lot of expectations for the club, and also for myself. I proved myself once before with Everton before my injuries, so I don't see it being a problem doing so again. I want to do it for myself, for the manager and the fans, and I want to help them stay in the Premiership this season. I am sure we will be able to do that. I watched a lot of United's games last season and I feel their style is suitable for the Premiership." "This summer, the manager has also signed a lot of experienced players and I feel we have a strong squad that can stay up, although there is still a very big challenge ahead." Li, who was brought on as a substitute during China's last two matches, has been capped 79 times for his country. Despite an impressive first year at Everton, David Moyes released his from his Goodison Park contract last season due to his injury problems, but he says it was to be expected. "I was disappointed to leave Everton, but after struggling with my injuries it wasn't a surprise. I knew I would have to find another club." "That is why I feel lucky to have been given a chance with Sheffield United to play in the Premiership again and I hope I can repay them." Li concluded.
