On The KOP - The New Gallon of Magnet Fans Forum...

Here comes the latest feature on Gallon of Magnet - The Fans Forum! There are currently a number of Forums where Blades fans chat, but despite that we fealt it was time for GOM to do what all popular unofficial football sites do - introduce our own. 'One The Kop' is the name of the new Forum and we need all your help to turn it into a REAL Blades community. Sheffield United made a winning start to their pre-season, with
victories over Worksop Town and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
A debut goal from new signing Mikele Leigertwood completed
a 5-0 rout of Worksop last Monday (17th), and United took that
form with them to Scotland tonight, as they beat Inveress 3-0.

A brace from Danny Webber set the ball rolling at Worksop's
Sandy Gate ground, before Keith Gillespie joined in, also
bagging a brace. United also fielded trialist goalkeeper Justin
Haber, a Maltese international, during the second half.

It was the testimonial game of Inverness Caledonian Thistle's Ross Tokely tonight, and Ade Akinbiyi (2) and Alan Quinn were the scorers as the Blades marched to a 3-0 victory. Quinn curled home a delightful free-kick into the top corner, whilst Akinbiyi finished off two tap-ins after good work from Danny Webber and Paul Ifill. 'Cally Thistle' missed some guilt-edged chances though, and even spurned an 81st-minute penalty.
