LOST AND FOUND
EPISODE 18: LOST AND FOUND - "Oscar finds a perfectly good pair of pants in the ditch while Brent and Hank try not to do each other any favors."

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS: Unlike "Smell of Freedom," this is an episode where the side plots are only moderately funny but the main plot - about making sure one doesn't owe someone else a favor when it comes time to collect - carries the episode. Almost all of the side jokes are funny, and the entire "owe a favor" concept is handled with perfection from start to finish. One of the side plots, about Karen's lost Hacky Sack, is fairly lame but still has a couple killer moments - in particular, when Oscar "realizes" why the theft of the Hacky Sack is funny (I also got a good laugh listening to Lacey refer to it as a "sackball"). The other, about Oscar going nuts collecting garbage from the side of the road, wasn't really that funny either - but it was also responsible for a few gems, to include Oscar beaming about "free twine."

MEMORABLE MOMENT: The intro scene to the episode was a surprisingly good example of humor through grammar (I've seen this attempted many times, and it's usually a disaster) and one of the better intros of the season.

MEMORABLE LINES:

1.) From Wanda: "Nobody likes pant waste."

2.) When Lacey asks Brent if he'd help her lug a buffer, he says "doesn't sound like something I'd do."

3.) From Lacey, as Hank explains how he "stuck it" to Brent by helping him out: "Wow, it sounds like you two are deep in the throes of something I don't care about."

FUNNIEST SCENES IN THIS EPISODE:

1.) When the candy rack guy explains to Brent, in painstaking detail, about the recent shakeups in the candy rack industry. This, along with Brent's perfect delivery of "I appreciate your honesty," was absolutely sidesplitting.

2.) When Brent, on his hands and knees and scrubbing the floor of the Ruby, tells Lacey that her plan worked like a charm.

BLOOPERS:

1.) At 19:20, Emma throws a box full of Oscar's junk out of a car window that could be seen as obviously closed just three or four seconds before.

2.) Nitpick: At 20:42, Wanda and Lacey are in danger of missing a concert because Wanda's car won't start. Why the hell didn't the girls just take Lacey's car, which was running just fine when Lacey gave a jump start to Hank's stranded truck?
